Katie’s artwork explores materials, temporality, and memory, utilizing a diverse array of domestic materials to represent aspects of her identity as an artist and woman. Her sculptural forms, unconventional material applications, and abstractions are often characterized by dark imagery.

Her training in traditional sculpture and graphic design has led to a non-traditional approach in installation, process-based work. The works are heavily textured, dyed, and sewn, evoking figurative elements and textures derived from nature.

They reflect personal experiences, relationships, and observations, offering insight into significant moments in her life.
